Job Description
Gould Intelligent (an Arizona company) is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster for a long-term contract assignment in Phoenix, AZ. Work will be remote but candidate must currently reside within 1 hour of the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area. Pay is $25 - $31/hr.
Candidate will be investigating and analyzing information to determine compensability of time loss and catastrophic claims. Will also calculate average monthly wage and set reserves as well as compute and authorize indemnity and medical benefits. Candidate will also be responsible for updating the claims system, negotiating settlements, and notifying the respective loss prevention coordinator of risks. Will also monitor changes to diagnosis to verify ICD codes are current for Medicare purposes. Candidate will identify the need for independent medical examinations, communicate directly with relevant parties, and conduct claim reviews as needed.
Candidate must have 4+ years’ of Claims Indemnity experience. Preferred candidate will be proficient in Google Suite and/or possess an Arizona Adjustments license.
